Launch of the Iranian Football Federation's Website - 2003-07-24

The website of the Iranian Football Federation was officially launched on Wednesday afternoon during a ceremony at the Football Federation's headquarters. The site, designed and programmed by the company 'I.C.N.C', features 11 sections where visitors can access information about national football teams across various age categories, presidents of the Football Federation from its inception to the present, the history of football in Iran, current football news, and the introduction of football committees. According to the IRNA news agency, information regarding players and teams participating in the Premier League will also be made available to enthusiasts during the player transfer season. Shahab Bakhtiar, the head of the design company, stated that the site's information is currently available to the public in English, and starting from September 7 (August 29, 2003), when the Iranian club league competitions begin, the information will be available in Persian. Ali Akbar Iravani, the Secretary General of the Football Federation, remarked that the launch of the website was one of the fundamental needs of Iranian football and expressed gratitude to all those who assisted the Federation in its establishment. He added that this significant event will allow them to keep pace with other football organizations worldwide, including FIFA and the AFC, and to align their progress with them.
