Lawyer for the Family of Abolfazl Adinehzadeh: Payment of Blood Money Canceled and Case Referred to Military Prosecutor

The lawyer for the family of Abolfazl Adinehzadeh, a teenage protester who lost his life during nationwide protests, announced the cancellation of the blood money payment and the referral of the case to the military prosecutor's office. Khosrow Ali-Kordi announced on Friday, January 29, on his social media accounts that following the objection of the lawyer for Abolfazl Adinehzadeh's family in the military court, the order to refrain from prosecution was 'violated and referred for legal consideration to the first investigative branch of the military prosecutor's office.' According to a document published by this lawyer, the first investigator of the military prosecutor's office in Razavi Khorasan province issued an order to refrain from prosecution for the armed forces of the province and also determined the payment of blood money from public funds for the family of the plaintiff, Abolfazl Adinehzadeh. In this judicial document, both armed entities, the police command and the intelligence protection of the IRGC in Razavi Khorasan province, denied the use or carrying of shotgun weapons by agents on the day Abolfazl Adinehzadeh was killed. Meanwhile, the family of this teenage protester considers his 'murder' to be caused by 'the impact of shotgun bullets' and has filed a complaint against the military or police forces as the shooters of Abolfazl Adinehzadeh. Abolfazl Adinehzadeh, a 17-year-old boy, was targeted by dozens of shotgun bullets from security agents on Saturday, October 8, during the nationwide protests of 1401 in Mashhad and was killed. Based on medical documents, images, and witness statements, hundreds of protesters were killed and injured during the nationwide protests of 1401 due to impacts from shotgun and plastic bullets fired by government agents.
