Lindsey Graham: Khamenei Should Beware of Drones! The Islamic Republic Has Crossed the 'Red Line'

On Monday, January 22, American Republican Senator Lindsey Graham issued several statements regarding the current events in Iran. In response to a statement by President Donald Trump, who said a 25% tariff would be imposed on any country that trades with the Islamic Republic of Iran, he said: "Mr. President: Your decisive leadership in economically isolating this regime through your actions today is very impressive. Your promise to support the protesters and inform the regime that you will not tolerate the massacre has led to the largest protests against this oppressive regime since its establishment." He addressed Mr. Trump regarding the massacre of protesters in Iran by the Islamic Republic and the red line that the American president has set on this issue, stating: "Mr. President: I believe the Iranian regime has crossed the red lines. They are killing their own people in large numbers and mocking your leadership. Now is the time for decisive military action - without ground troops - and to pursue those who are committing these massacres. Let’s restore greatness to Iran." Lindsey Graham also had a message for Ali Khamenei, who has warned American officials, reminding him of America's capability for precise airstrikes: "To the Ayatollah: We no longer talk as much as we used to. Have I offended you? Regarding your recent warning to American politicians, I have heard that Moscow is a winter wonderland; beware of the drones. Let’s restore greatness to Iran." Lindsey Graham also commented on remarks made by Ali Larijani, who reacted to President Trump's warning to the Islamic Republic about killing protesters, calling it "a very provocative statement regarding the American president from the so-called head of national security [of the Islamic Republic]." Mr. Graham told the Islamic Republic officials that when "you open your mouth," "you are responsible for humiliating President Trump." He concluded, as he often does in his posts, with: "Let’s restore greatness to Iran." Graham also referred to John Fetterman, a Democratic senator from Pennsylvania, who has stated that he supports military action by the U.S. against the Islamic Republic to support the protesting people of Iran, calling him a "good friend" and writing: "On many issues, especially foreign policy, you have a clear assessment and a common-sense approach. The protesters in Iran have had problems with the ruthless regime. President Trump told them he supports them, which was truly a moment in history. Senator Fetterman, your statement supporting military force to protect the protesters and weaken the regime is welcomed and impactful. This [military action] will be a great boost for those brave Iranians who are demanding an end to the oppression against them. It will also be remembered in history as an important matter. On behalf of the suffering people of Iran, thank you." Graham also reacted to a statement by Newt Gingrich, a former Speaker of the House, saying that Mr. Gingrich "once again rightly responded to the regime's reaction to their brutal oppression. Newt's analysis is 100% correct. It is not enough to say we stand with the people of Iran. The only correct response here is that we must decisively act to protect the protesters in the streets - and that we are not Obama - and prove to them through our actions that we will not tolerate their massacre (the people of Iran)." Graham added, "President Trump has been the first president to openly stand with the people [of Iran] against the regime. This will be seen in history as the ultimate game changer." He also stated in another part of this post on X that the protesting Iranians have risked their lives and that America "must act decisively." Graham said: "As Newt says, this is the best opportunity since 1979 to change the course of the Middle East. The issue is not negotiating with a lying, Nazi-like, and pathological religious regime over Iran's nuclear program. The issue is simply standing with the people against the thugs who are killing them. The issue is decisive action on behalf of the people of Iran."
