A man in Arizona who was wanted for threatening Donald Trump, the Republican candidate in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, with death on social media has been arrested. Reuters reported this news on Saturday, September 3, citing the police department of the town of Cochise in Arizona. The man, identified as Ronald Lee Seward, 66, has several outstanding legal warrants due to multiple offenses, including sexual crimes. Donald Trump visited Cochise on Thursday, September 1, as part of his campaign while touring the U.S.-Mexico border. In response to a question about this threat against him in Arizona, he stated, 'I wasn't that surprised (by the threat) because I want to do things that are very bad for bad people.' This incident marks the latest threat against the Republican candidate ahead of the November 5 presidential election. In July, Trump was injured in the ear during an assassination attempt, which resulted in the deaths of two people, including the assailant, and injuries to two others. Following this shooting, the U.S. Secret Service faced significant criticism and scrutiny, leading to the resignation of its director. Despite these threats and new concerns, Trump said on Thursday that he has great respect for the Secret Service and 'the things they do,' while also acknowledging that they 'made mistakes that they will learn from.'
