Mask and Zuckerberg in the Cage; 'Civilized War' Will Be Broadcast Live

Elon Musk announced early Sunday morning, August 6, that his proposed fight with Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, will be broadcast live through the social media platform 'X', formerly known as Twitter. The two social media giants have been taunting each other and inviting one another to a mixed martial arts cage fight in Las Vegas since June. Musk stated in a post on 'X': 'The fight between Zuckerberg and Musk will be broadcast live on X. All proceeds will go to charity for veterans.' An hour prior to this post, Musk had announced that he had been weightlifting all day to prepare for the fight. He mentioned that he does not have enough time to train, which is why he takes weights to work. In response to a user's question about the purpose of the fight, he said: 'It's a civilized form of war. Men love to fight.' Meta has not yet responded to Musk's post. The taunts between Musk and Zuckerberg began when Musk announced on June 20 that he was ready to fight Zuckerberg in a cage. The next day, 39-year-old Mark Zuckerberg, who has trained in jiu-jitsu and previously posted images of his victories in fights on Instagram, replied to Musk asking him to send the location of the fight. Musk designated the octagonal cage in Las Vegas, the venue for MMA fights, as the location and stated he is preparing for the fight. Musk warned Zuckerberg: 'You copied/pasted; I'll see you in the cage.' The possibility of a confrontation between 'virtual rivals' in real life; Musk told Zuckerberg: 'I’ll lay on my opponent like a sea cow.'
