Mavic Air; Small Drones with Various Capabilities

DJI, known worldwide for manufacturing small drones, has introduced a practical and compact drone that, due to its price, is expected to increase the general public's use of such flying devices globally. This new drone, named Mavic Air, features foldable arms and 4K video recording capabilities. Priced at $799, it sits between the Mavic Pro at $999 and the Spark at $399 in terms of performance and features. The dimensions of the Mavic Air are approximately half that of the Mavic Pro and it is 41% lighter. In terms of battery life, the Mavic Air offers 21 minutes of flight time on a full charge, which is between the Mavic Pro's 27 minutes and the Spark's 16 minutes. The new DJI product has an internal memory of 8GB, which can be expanded using a micro SD card. It also inherits some features from its larger sibling, such as instant 4K recording and the ability to take photos at a resolution of 12 megapixels. Additionally, the Mavic Air is equipped with a new and improved three-axis gimbal. This drone can recognize certain hand or body movements of its owner and adjust its movement or performance accordingly. The Mavic Air has a mode called Sport mode, which allows it to fly at a speed of 68 kilometers per hour, significantly faster than both the Mavic Pro and Spark. Compared to the Mavic Pro, the Mavic Air offers better 4K image quality, with a bitrate of 100 megabits per second, sufficient for cinema display, compared to the Mavic Pro's 60 megabits per second. The Mavic Air features a sensor capable of recording 4K resolution at a frame rate of 24 to 30 frames per second, using a 24mm wide lens with an f/2.8 aperture. It can achieve speeds of 68 kilometers per hour and withstand winds of up to 35 kilometers per hour. Thanks to the use of new batteries, the Mavic Air can be controlled up to a radius of 4 kilometers, compared to the Mavic Pro's 7 kilometers. The Mavic Air also boasts advanced image and video processing systems that enhance its filming and photography capabilities. It can capture 32-megapixel panoramic images, and improvements in algorithms and sensors enhance its obstacle avoidance performance. Using various sensors, this drone scans its surroundings in motion like a bat. DJI, headquartered in Shenzhen, China, has dominated the market for small commercial drones for several years, even outpacing competitors like GoPro. This growth has led the company to work on incorporating artificial intelligence into its new products, making it one of the smartest companies globally in the field of computer science.
