McConnell: There Are Signs That the War is Organized with Significant Help from the Islamic Republic

Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader in the U.S. Senate, elaborated on his views regarding the recent tensions in the Middle East in an article published in the Wall Street Journal. He wrote, "While on Saturday, hundreds of Iranian-backed terrorists stormed Israel to butcher children and adults, kidnap Israeli civilians, and display the naked bodies of women they killed in the streets of Gaza, many Palestinian compatriots and their supporters around the world cheered them on." He continued, "The world has once again seen the face of the devil. Those living in the democratic West must understand that this barbarism, like what we witnessed in Russia's war against Ukraine, threatens us all. According to Mr. McConnell, 'the civilized world must do more than express verbal solidarity with Israel.' The Republican leader in the U.S. Senate provided practical solutions for America, its allies, and partners to assist Israel. He further added, 'We recognize the expanding cooperation between Tehran and Moscow. The same Iranian death drones that Tehran has provided to its terrorist agents are being used by Russia to instill terror in Ukrainian cities.' According to Mr. McConnell, Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, has promised that Israel will be destroyed by Palestinians and resistance forces in the region, and the Hamas spokesperson has openly thanked Iran for its deadly support. The Republican leader in the U.S. Senate reminds that just one day before this brutal attack supported by the Islamic Republic, Narges Mohammadi, an imprisoned Iranian women's rights activist, received the Nobel Peace Prize.
