Meeting with Masoumeh Zia

"Meeting" is a brief narrative about those whose lives are confined to a four-walled space called prison. In each segment of this series, we visit one of those who are referred to as 'political-prisoners' by human rights organizations. She is a supporter of a doctrine known as the Circle of Gnosis and has been in prison since January 7 of last year. Masoumeh, also known as Pegah Zia, a senior geology expert and mother of a 16-year-old daughter, was arrested at Imam Khomeini Airport upon her return from a trip to Turkey. This two-week trip to visit her sister ended with her being taken to Ward 209 of Evin Prison. Despite posting bail of 200 million tomans, Masoumeh Zia remains in custody, and officials' statements regarding her situation are contradictory.
