Meeting with Salahuddin Ranjbar

"Meeting" is a brief narrative about those whose lives are confined to a four-walled space called prison. In each segment of this program, we visit one of those who are referred to as 'political-prisoners' by human rights organizations. Salahuddin Ranjbar is a Telegram activist and the manager of the Urmia-Dang channel, currently held in Ward 13 of Urmia Prison, serving a sentence issued due to his activities on social media. He is 25 years old and from the Somay Baradoust region in Urmia County. He was arrested by security forces in November 2017 and released three weeks later on a bail of 200 million tomans. Ranjbar's Telegram channel, Urmia-Dang, primarily covered cultural, social, environmental, and human rights news, as well as news related to Urmia. Following his arrest, this Telegram channel, which had been licensed by the Urmia Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance, was blocked.
