Member of 'Ahl-e Haq' Executed on Charges of 'Assassination' of Hoshang Imam Jom'e of Hashtgerd

Fardin Hosseini, a member of 'Ahl-e Haq', who had been imprisoned for six years on charges of 'assassination' of Abbasali Sabai Golpayegani, the Imam Jom'e of Hashtgerd, has finally been executed. The 'Mashregh News' website reported that Hosseini's death sentence was carried out on Thursday morning, February 1, and the Fars News Agency confirmed the execution. Both media outlets stated that Fardin Hosseini was a follower of the 'Noor Ali Elahi School' and had a history of 'malice' and 'murder' in his file. The security site 'Mashregh News' described 'Noor Ali Elahi' as a 'deviant cult' which 'Ahl-e Haq' also acknowledges the deviation of its leader, while Fars added that the Imam Jom'e of Hashtgerd had conducted many clarifications against 'deviant sects and false mysticism' before his death. Fars accused the 'Noor Ali Elahi School' of designing and organizing the assassination plot against the former Imam Jom'e of Hashtgerd, claiming that this 'assassination' occurred due to the 'fear of this cult from his clarifications'. 'Mashregh News' also accused Hosseini of 'bag snatching', 'extortion', and immoral acts such as 'rape' and consuming 'alcohol'. This site further claimed that Fardin Hosseini was involved in the murder of 'Jafar Bahrami', a prominent figure of 'Ahl-e Haq', and had intended to carry out other 'violent' actions along with another individual named 'Vahab Amiri'. According to Hosseini himself in a letter published on June 6 of this year, he was arrested by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence in October 2009 and was accused of 'murder' and 'rape' during interrogations. In his letter, he stated that he was pressured during 'violent' interrogations by the Ministry of Intelligence to accept responsibility for the murder of the Imam Jom'e of Hashtgerd. He mentioned that Sabai Golpayegani had ordered the destruction of the tomb of 'Master Noor Ali Elahi' in Hashtgerd in 1984 and was murdered in 2007, and 'the Ministry of Intelligence investigation team considered me a suspect in the murder because I was a follower of Master Noor Ali Elahi'. In this letter, Hosseini detailed the 'pressures', 'tortures', 'interrogations', and 'psychological pressures' on himself and his family, and reported new 'case fabrications' by the Ministry of Intelligence against him. Fardin Hosseini, who denied all accusations in this letter and requested a review of his case, was ultimately hanged on Thursday morning, February 1. Before his execution, he wrote in his letter that he was arrested, tortured, and imprisoned solely because he was a follower of the 'Noor Ali Elahi School'.
