Michael Leaves Widespread Destruction and Casualties

The unprecedented hurricane "Michael" has left extensive destruction in northeast Florida and claimed at least seven lives. The storm, with winds reaching 250 kilometers per hour and towering sea waves, swept through Florida. Michael has become the third severe storm to make landfall in the continental United States, rapidly transforming from a moderate tropical storm to a superstorm. At least seven people have died in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, with victims losing their lives due to falling trees and other storm-related incidents. Dozens have also been injured. Florida Governor Rick Scott stated that the morning after the storm passed, the area was met with "unimaginable devastation": "Many lives have changed forever. Many families have lost everything." In Bay County near Panama City, many residential and commercial structures have been damaged, and several hospitals and nursing homes have also been affected, with rescuers working to evacuate patients hospitalized there.
