Ministry of Industry: 'Kourosh Company' Received Activity License from Two Trade Unions in Tehran

The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade responded to criticisms regarding the granting of 'Inamad' (Electronic Trust Symbol) to 'Kourosh Company', stating that this company had obtained its licenses from two unions: 'The Union of Sellers of Audio-Visual Equipment and Mobile Phones' and 'The Union of Telecommunications Devices' in Tehran. The ministry added that inquiries were made from security agencies regarding 'Inamad' and there were no issues. The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade further clarified that 'Inamad' is not a license but a symbol displayed on the commercial website to allow audiences to view the legal identity and information of the active business and to pursue any complaints against it. With the ongoing case of Kourosh Company, Masoud Setayesh, spokesman for the judiciary, announced on Tuesday, February 30, that several prominent figures who had engaged in 'misleading advertisements' for this company must return the amounts received to the government fund. Following this, Elham Hamidi, an actress, stated on Wednesday, February 1, in a video that 'I returned all the advertising money for Kourosh Company to the account specified by the judicial authorities.' Advertising for this company had been conducted by many celebrities including Alireza Beiranvand, Saeed Mehri, Hadi Chopan, the Mansourian sisters, Hadi Saei, Amir Ali Akbari, and others. According to the website 'Asr Iran', in addition to complaints against Kourosh Company, people have also filed complaints against these celebrities and athletes. In this regard, the judiciary reported that by Tuesday, '1,500 individuals in Tehran' had filed complaints against Kourosh Company, and with the identification and seizure of the company's assets, 'measures will be taken to distribute the assets among the victims.' Meanwhile, unofficial reports indicate that the victims of Kourosh Company remain in limbo, with several of them having committed suicide following the announcement of Kourosh Company's fraud and the fleeing of its owner. These events come as the ISNA news agency reported that Amir Hossein Sharifian is currently 'wanted for fraud' and 'the movable assets of this company', including 'boats in Kish Island', have been seized. Amir Hossein Sharifian, as the main suspect, managed to register the company and obtain a business license and other administrative and banking matters, as well as leave Iran, while officials stated he lacked a military service completion card and was a deserter.
