Close associates of Mir Hossein Mousavi have reported that his health has deteriorated to a 'worrisome' state due to a 'severe drug allergy,' but he is 'showing signs of relative improvement.' The analytical news site Kalemeh reported on Tuesday, December 4, that Mousavi has been hospitalized after experiencing 'a severe drug allergy' in the past 48 hours. The report stated that 'Mir Hossein Mousavi developed a severe drug allergy following routine outpatient treatments, despite the fact that the medication used this time had caused allergies in previous years.' According to this report, this political figure of the Islamic Republic and a critic of its leader Ali Khamenei was hospitalized due to 'intensification of dangerous side effects and the creation of a critical situation in the continuation of treatment,' but 'this situation is currently being monitored by trusted doctors.' The report also mentioned that 'it is still necessary for Mir Hossein Mousavi to be under control, supervision, and treatment to continue the recovery process.' Ardshir Amir Arjomand, a political activist close to Mousavi, wrote on the social media platform X that 'what is happening is a form of continuous torture aimed at gradually silencing' Mr. Mousavi and his wife Zahra Rahnavard, and 'the deflection of responsibility continues.' Mir Hossein Mousavi was a presidential candidate in the 2009 government elections and a rival of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and he became known as one of the leaders of the widespread protests known as the 'Green Movement.'
