Mother of Farhad Majdam, a victim of the November 2019 protests, killed in a car accident

Sediqeh Torani, the mother of Farhad Majdam, one of the victims of the November 2019 protests, lost her life in a car accident on Saturday while traveling from Tehran to Qazvin to attend the trial of Manouchehr Bakhtiari. Fatemeh Heydari, sister of Javad Heydari, another victim of the protests against the killing of Mahsa (Zhina) Amini, tweeted on Saturday, May 9, in response to this incident: 'From today, we mourn and grieve for our mother Sediqeh and the seeker of justice for our brother Farhad.' Masih Alinejad, a journalist and human rights activist, called the incident 'suspicious' and added that the parents of Vahid Damour, another victim of the November 2019 protests, were also involved in the accident, and Vahid's mother is in critical condition and was transferred to the hospital by helicopter. Soran Mansournia, brother of Borhan Mansournia, another victim of the November 2019 protests, also expressed his condolences on Twitter regarding the news of Sediqeh Torani's death. Farhad Majdam was killed on November 26, 2019, during the protests known as the November 2019 protests when he was shot in the head by the Islamic Republic's security forces in Malard. Ms. Torani had stated in an interview with Masih Alinejad that they learned about her son's death four days after he was killed, and Farhad was buried under security pressures in a location designated by the Islamic Republic government. The Nowruz trip of Farhad Majdam's mother and a group of seeking justice mothers included a visit to the grave of Behnam Mohajoubi and their message. Farhad Majdam's mother stated: 'I am not afraid of protesting; even if they kill me, this government is disgraced in the world.'
