Namati, Secretary of the Iranian Volleyball Federation: Iran's Hosting Approved

According to a report by the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA), Ebrahim Namati, the Secretary of the Iranian Volleyball Federation, who traveled to Lausanne, Switzerland, presented the visual and written reports of the Iranian Volleyball Federation for hosting the World Youth Championships to the FIVB (International Volleyball Federation) Executive Board. Namati told ISNA that all facilities and arrangements made were approved by the President of the World Federation (Dr. Ruben Acosta), and except for one issue that will be announced later, no faults were found in our work. Regarding other matters discussed at this meeting, he said the World Federation emphasized that all scheduled competitions in Asia will take place, as reports indicate that the SARS outbreak in Thailand, China, and Indonesia has been contained, and there is no SARS in Iran. The Secretary of the Volleyball Federation mentioned that in negotiations with 'Zhi Hou', the President of the Asian Volleyball Confederation, they learned that the new date for the postponed Asian Club Championship will be announced soon. Indonesia will host these competitions, and the Paykan team from Iran will also participate in these events.
