A lawyer has reported the sentencing of Narges Mansouri, a political activist and prisoner, to 3 years in prison in a new case. On Thursday, March 3, Mohammad Moghimy announced on the social media platform 'X' that Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court sentenced Narges Mansouri, imprisoned in Evin Prison, to 3 years in prison in the absence of a lawyer on charges of 'propaganda against the regime.' According to this lawyer, Narges Mansouri has been threatened with death twice in prison by the deputy officer, Hadi Mohammadi. Mohammad Moghimy has held the entire regime, particularly Ali Khamenei, responsible for the life of this imprisoned civil activist. Narges Mansouri, one of the signatories of a letter requesting Ali Khamenei's resignation, has gone on hunger strikes several times while in prison. Meanwhile, according to Mohammad Moghimy, this political activist is suspected of having cancer. Narges Mansouri previously stated, 'While I am currently facing five definitive sentences, the authorities are opening a sixth case against me and preventing my release.' The judicial authorities of the Islamic Republic are issuing prison sentences by forming new cases against several political prisoners as part of increased pressure on them. Recently, the Revolutionary Court rejected the appeal request of Shakila Monfared, another political prisoner, sentencing her to '15 months in prison and exile,' along with other supplementary punishments.
