Nasrallah's Threat: The Escalation of Conflict Between Israel and Hamas to a 'Widespread War' is a Real Possibility

Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, stated on Friday, November 3, that preventing the war from spreading to the region depends on stopping Israeli attacks on Gaza, warning that the possibility of the conflict extending to other fronts is a 'real possibility.' According to the leader of this group affiliated with the Islamic Republic of Iran, the escalation of the war between Israel and Hamas to the Lebanese front and its transformation into a 'widespread war' is a real possibility. Nasrallah, speaking for the first time since the October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas militants on Israel, claimed that Hezbollah is 'fully prepared' to confront U.S. warships. He threatened that if the war spreads throughout the region, American interests, soldiers, and ships will be targeted. He stated that Hezbollah has forced Israel to keep its forces near the Lebanese border instead of sending them to Gaza and the West Bank by increasing daily tensions at the border. Nasrallah's threats and claims come as U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, in a press conference following his meetings with Israeli leaders, warned the Islamic Republic and its proxy groups, including Hezbollah, not to open a second or third front in the region.
