NATO Secretary General: We Must Prepare for a Long War in Ukraine

Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of NATO, stated that preparations must be made for a long-term war in Ukraine. According to him, most wars last longer than initially expected. Stoltenberg added, "We all wish for a quick peace, but at the same time, we must understand that if President Zelensky (the President of Ukraine) and the Ukrainians stop fighting, their country will no longer exist." Stoltenberg's remarks come as Russia early Sunday targeted the 'Odesa' region in Ukraine with a combination of drone and missile attacks. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that agricultural facilities were hit. On Sunday, Ukraine also conducted a drone attack against Crimea and the city of Moscow. According to an official in Crimea, a drone struck a fuel tank, igniting it. Additionally, the flights of Ukrainian drones over Moscow disrupted air traffic. Meanwhile, the British Ministry of Defence announced on Sunday that Russia is likely strengthening its defensive capabilities around the occupied city of 'Tokmak' in southern Ukraine, which is located 16 kilometers from the front lines of the Russian battle in Ukraine. General Milley stated that North Korean military assistance to Russia will not affect the outcome of the war in Ukraine. The United States has sanctioned dozens of individuals and entities for 'profiting from Russia's war against Ukraine.' Ukraine has shot down 17 Russian drones in several areas.
