Netanyahu Calls Hezbollah's Assassination Attempt a 'Big Mistake'; Determined to 'Change Security Reality' in the Middle East

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, described Hezbollah's drone attack on his home on Saturday, aimed at 'assassinating' him and his wife, as a 'big mistake' and stated that Israel is determined to achieve all its military objectives and 'change the security reality' in the Middle East. In a post on platform X in both English and Hebrew, he asserted that Hezbollah's assassination attempt would not deter him or the Israeli government from continuing the war against enemies to secure the future of the country. Netanyahu warned the Islamic Republic of Iran and its proxy groups in the 'Axis of Evil': 'Anyone who tries to harm Israeli citizens will pay a heavy price.' According to him, Israel will continue to eliminate terrorists and their 'dispatchers.' The Israeli Prime Minister reiterated his country's stance that Israeli citizens living in northern areas will return to their homes. He added that Israel is determined to achieve all its military goals and 'change the security reality in our region for future generations.' At the end of his message, Benjamin Netanyahu stated: 'We will fight together, and with God's help, we will achieve victory together.' In this context, Yoav Gallant, Israel's Defense Minister, said the assassination attempt on Netanyahu and his family was aimed at harming Israel and its symbols. He emphasized that the Israeli army will continue its attacks against the country's enemies, including Hamas and Hezbollah. Earlier, Netanyahu, in his first reaction to the Hezbollah drone attack, stated that 'nothing can stop us' and that Israel will be victorious in this war. He was seen walking in a park wearing sunglasses and a black polo shirt, declaring that Israel is fighting for its survival and will continue until victory is achieved. Netanyahu referred to the elimination of Yahya Sinwar, stating: 'We will continue our battle against other Iranian terrorist proxies.' The Prime Minister's office released a brief statement regarding the drone attack on Netanyahu's home, confirming that he and his wife Sara were not at home during the attack and that no one was harmed. Israeli defense systems intercepted and destroyed two other Hezbollah drones, triggering warning sirens in Tel Aviv. Netanyahu stated after the Hezbollah drone attack on his residence: 'We will be victorious in this war.' Israel's Energy Minister remarked that what enemies have seen is less than ten percent of our capabilities, and the option to attack Iran's nuclear facilities is on the table. An Israeli general commented that the Iranian government does not know what will happen to Hezbollah. Questions arise about which Hamas and Hezbollah leaders Israel has eliminated.
