Netanyahu: Iran Will Fail in Its Desire to Destroy Israel

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, emphasized that the country acts "decisively" in self-defense and stated that Iran will fail in its desire to destroy Israel. According to a report from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday, February 11, Netanyahu, during a meeting with soldiers injured in recent Hezbollah operations, said that "the State of Israel is under constant threats from the Islamic Republic of Iran, which speaks of destroying Israel," but stressed that the Islamic Republic "will fail in executing this desire." The Israeli Prime Minister once again warned the world not to compromise on nuclear matters with the Iranian regime and to reach an agreement that would allow Iran to maintain its nuclear potential, which could lead to the development of nuclear weapons at an opportune time while violating previous commitments. Since its establishment, the Islamic Republic of Iran has not recognized the existence of a country called Israel, and its leaders have repeatedly called for Israel's destruction. The Israeli government, led by Netanyahu, believes that Iran intends to produce nuclear weapons under the guise of a seemingly peaceful nuclear program. Recently, the Prime Minister also mentioned that in the coming weeks, there is a possibility of an agreement between Iran and global powers regarding the Islamic Republic's nuclear file, warning that this agreement would be "bad" and "unacceptable" for Israel. However, as reported by Israeli radio, during the meeting with the injured from the recent Hezbollah operations, both the Prime Minister and the Israeli Defense Minister stated that the country does not intend to escalate the crisis in the Middle East and merely advised their counterparts to refrain from aggression. Meanwhile, Hezbollah has also stated that the group is not interested in a new war with Israel. Moshe Ya'alon, the Israeli Defense Minister, also stated without taking responsibility for the operation that led to the deaths of several Hezbollah commanders and members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in Syria, that this operation was "very necessary" because Hezbollah's presence in southern Lebanon and near the Israeli borders aimed to prepare the ground for establishing a new base for aggression against Israel from Syrian territory, which needed to be neutralized.
