Netanyahu to the People of Iran: The Islamic Republic Stole Your Money and Wasted It

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, on Thursday, December 13, released a video message directed at the people of Iran on the 'X' platform, referring to the Islamic Republic's actions in stealing the people's money and wasting it on its proxies. Mr. Netanyahu pointed to the extensive support of the Islamic Republic for Bashar al-Assad's regime and its regional proxies, stating: 'The money that the oppressors stole from you literally went up in smoke.' The Israeli Prime Minister said: 'Your tyrants spent over $30 billion to support Assad in Syria. After just 11 days of war, his regime turned to ashes.' He mentioned the billions of dollars that the Islamic Republic spent to support Hamas in Gaza and over $20 billion for Hezbollah in Lebanon, saying: 'Today, their regime has fallen, and most of Hezbollah's leaders, their missiles, and thousands of their terrorists have vanished into thin air.' Mr. Netanyahu told the people of Iran that the thought of the roads, schools, and hospitals that could have been built with the tens of billions wasted by the Islamic Republic on supporting terrorists must anger them. The Israeli Prime Minister stated that the reason for the repeated failures of the Islamic Republic is not only their incompetence and cruelty but also because they seek to conquer other countries and impose fundamentalist tyranny on the Middle East and the entire world. Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that all Israel wants is to defend itself. He referenced the words of Donald Trump, the elected President of the United States, stating that historical events and chain reactions from striking Hamas to destroying Hezbollah, targeting Nasrallah, and the blows dealt to the Iranian regime's terror axis occurred 'thanks to Israel and its successes in war.' Mr. Netanyahu stressed that Israel seeks peace with all who desire peace with it, saying: 'I have no doubt that you, the people of Iran, know this, and just as we seek peace with you, you also desire peace with us.' The Israeli Prime Minister stated that the only thing the Islamic Republic truly fears is the people of Iran. He concluded his message by repeating the slogan 'Women, Life, Freedom' in Persian, stating that this is Iran's future and that we will reach this future together sooner than you think. Benjamin Netanyahu, on Tuesday, November 13, also in his second direct message to the people of Iran, had urged them not to lose hope. In that message, he emphasized: 'The Khamenei regime fears only one thing more than Israel, and that is the people of Iran.' The Israeli Prime Minister also mentioned that the Islamic Republic spent $2.3 billion (two billion three hundred million dollars) of the national assets of Iranians for the recent missile attack on Israel, urging the people of Iran not to let the regime destroy their dreams. Netanyahu had previously stated on Monday, September 30, in a 'direct and unmediated' message to the 'people of Iran' that Israel stands with them and that when Iran is 'freed much sooner than anyone thinks,' everything will be 'different.' In that message on the social media platform X, the Israeli Prime Minister addressed the 'Iranian nation' and stated that he wants to speak to Iranians 'directly, without filters, and without intermediaries.' He pointed out that the Islamic Republic 'subjugates you every day' and makes fiery rhetoric about defending Lebanon and Gaza, emphasizing that 'the regime plunges our region deeper into darkness and war every day.' Netanyahu referred to the deaths of Mohammed Deif and Hassan Nasrallah, calling them 'puppets' of the Islamic Republic, and warned that there is no place where Israel does not go 'to protect our people and our country' at any moment. He concluded his remarks by saying: 'Hoping that we will witness a future filled with prosperity and peace together.'
