Netanyahu: Trump's Plan for Gaza is 'Remarkable'

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, stated that his country should 'examine and pursue' Donald Trump's 'remarkable' plan for Gaza after the war. In an interview with Fox News, Netanyahu supported Trump's proposal for relocating Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, describing it as an 'excellent idea.' On Wednesday, February 6, Netanyahu commented on Trump's remarks regarding the relocation of Palestinians, saying, 'This is the first good idea I have heard so far. This is an excellent idea, and I think it should be examined, pursued, and implemented, as it will create a different future for everyone.' Netanyahu also responded to a question about the relocation of Gaza residents, saying, 'What is wrong with the idea of allowing people from Gaza who want to leave? They can go, come back later, relocate, and return again.' Donald Trump, the President of the United States, proposed 'long-term ownership' of the Gaza Strip by the United States on Tuesday. He previously stated that Palestinian residents of Gaza could go to Jordan, Egypt, or other countries and own beautiful residential areas in those countries. After a closed-door conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump mentioned in a joint press conference that everyone he spoke to supported the idea of the U.S. taking ownership of that area, creating thousands of jobs, and rebuilding it. He reiterated that current residents of Gaza should go to other countries, as it has been shown multiple times that the poor conditions there will continue to repeat with the current situation. Trump emphasized that this idea would bring peace to the region and perhaps the entire Middle East. The U.S. Secretary of Defense praised Israel's military actions against the Iranian government. Netanyahu's meeting with the U.S. Vice President and the National Security Advisor of the White House was also noted, along with reactions to Trump's idea of 'ownership' of the Gaza Strip.
