Netanyahu Visits Scenes of Hamas Terrorist Attacks for the First Time

This was Netanyahu's first visit to the area following the massacre of 1,300 people, mostly civilians, by Hamas militants a week ago. According to the 'Times of Israel', Netanyahu has faced increasing criticism in recent days for not being present at the site of the massacre and funerals, and for not visiting the injured from this terrorist attack. Meanwhile, following the Hamas terrorist attack in southern Israel, there have been criticisms of the army's and Netanyahu's government's inability to prevent the Hamas attack. Concurrently with the siege of Gaza by the Israeli army, Netanyahu stated in a statement on Friday: "We are striking our enemies with unprecedented force. I emphasize that this is just the beginning." Russia reports that 16 of its citizens have been killed in the Israel-Hamas war. Palestinian civilians are fleeing south; Gaza is experiencing a "bread shortage." The U.S. embassy has granted some of its staff permission to leave Israel.
