Netanyahu: War Will Continue Until 'All Goals' Are Achieved; Hezbollah Should Know No Terrorist Is Safe

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, stated that the war in Gaza should not cease until 'all goals' are fully achieved. He outlined these goals as the destruction of Hamas, the return of all hostages, and ensuring that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel. The Times of Israel reported that Netanyahu said, 'I say this to both our enemies and our friends. This is our responsibility and this is the commitment of all of us.' U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is set to visit Israel this week to discuss the war in Gaza and tensions at the Israel-Lebanon border. In his remarks, Netanyahu also warned Hezbollah in Lebanon, saying, 'I suggest Hezbollah learn from what Hamas has learned in recent months: no terrorist is safe.' The Israeli Prime Minister emphasized, 'We are determined to protect our citizens and return the residents of the north [Israel] safely to their homes. This is a national goal that we all share and we will act responsibly to achieve it. If we can do it through diplomatic means, we will, and otherwise, we will act in other ways.' Both Hamas and Hezbollah, which are supported militarily and financially by the Islamic Republic of Iran, are listed as terrorist organizations by various countries. Since the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, and Israel's retaliatory response, Hezbollah has repeatedly attacked Israeli territory, to which Israel has responded with airstrikes against Hezbollah. Hezbollah has lost dozens of its forces in the recent conflicts with Israel. Israel claims that Hamas has developed guided cruise missiles with the help of the Iranian government. The U.S. condemned the 'irresponsible' calls from hardline Israeli ministers for the 'expulsion of Palestinians' from Gaza. An Israeli drone attack in the suburbs of Beirut resulted in the death of a senior Hamas official. The Israeli Foreign Minister stated that we are in the midst of a third world war against 'radical Islam' led by the Islamic Republic.
