New Documents Discovered; Israel Unveils Substantial Financial Aid from the Islamic Republic to Hamas

The spokesperson for the Israeli army stated on Tuesday evening that over 150 million dollars had been transferred from the Islamic Republic to the militant group Hamas, which was intended for the continuation of Hamas's underground operations. According to France 24 news network, Daniel Hagari revealed information confirming the financial support of the Islamic Republic for the 'terrorist' group Hamas. Hagari emphasized Hamas's strategic use of financial resources to maintain its capabilities amid ongoing conflicts with Israel, stating, 'They invest this money for their underground survival.' The Israeli army spokesperson also highlighted the global implications of the Islamic Republic's support for terrorism, describing it as a pressing concern that extends beyond the Middle East. This revelation followed recent military operations in Gaza, during which Israeli soldiers discovered significant amounts of cash intended for Hamas. Hagari disclosed that Israeli army personnel also found a budget plan for Hamas payments from Tehran between 2014 and 2020, providing further evidence of the Islamic Republic's financial support for this militant group. The documents indicate that the Islamic Republic sent 15 million, 48 million, 42 million, and 12 million dollars to Yahya Sinwar in the years 2014, 2015, 2019, and 2020, respectively. In addition to the substantial funds trafficked by the Islamic Republic for Hamas, Israeli soldiers discovered bags filled with cash for Hamas as well as envelopes containing tens of thousands of dollars that had been sent from Tehran for Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas. A senior official from the Palestinian movement Hamas, after the killing of Qassem Soleimani, the former commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, praised him and detailed the delivery of 22 million dollars in cash to Hamas during a visit by a delegation from this Palestinian movement to Tehran. Mahmoud al-Zahar, a former foreign minister, stated in an interview with Al-Alam, the Arabic-language state television network of Iran, that during a meeting in 2006 with Qassem Soleimani in Tehran, he explained the 'fundamental problem of employee salaries and social services and other assistance' to the people of Gaza, and 'Haj Qassem immediately responded to our request so that the next day, at the end of the trip, I saw 22 million dollars in airport (Tehran) suitcases.' Mr. al-Zahar also mentioned, 'More money was supposed to be paid, but the (Hamas) delegation was nine people, and we could not carry more than this because each suitcase had a capacity of 40 kilograms.'
