After two years, parts of this aircraft were found thousands of kilometers away from the flight path, near Africa. Flight 370 had a total of 239 passengers, and its disappearance has become one of the unprecedented mysteries of aviation disasters. The black box of the aircraft has not yet been found, and investigations have only been conducted on pieces that are believed to very likely belong to this Boeing. According to a report by Reuters, the latest report from the 'Australian Transport Safety Bureau' published on November 3 concludes that the aircraft did not prepare for a potential landing while descending. According to this report, the altitude of the aircraft above ground has significantly and increasingly decreased; what is described as a 'death dive.' The new report also reaffirms the validity of the search efforts for the remaining aircraft or the black box in the southern Indian Ocean. Experts have come to the probable conclusion that the aircraft had no fuel at the time of the crash into the sea and that the pilot, or at least a conscious pilot, did not have control of it. They believe the aircraft was on 'autopilot,' a system that controls the aircraft without human assistance, and was in a spiraling motion when its fuel ran out. The head of the investigative committee also told Reuters that this report does not specify a new area for search.
