Neymar's Departure from Al-Hilal After Earning Tens of Millions of Euros

Neymar Jr., the famous Brazilian football player, has canceled his contract with the Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal after reaching an agreement with the team. Thus, Neymar, who has previously played for Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, leaves Al-Hilal after just 18 months. According to Yahoo Sports, although Neymar's time at this club may be short, he departs with astronomical earnings and is likely the most expensive player in football history. It is expected that Neymar, who is currently a free agent, will return to Santos in Brazil, the club of his youth, following the early agreement to terminate his contract with Al-Hilal. Neymar was sidelined for about a year due to a knee ligament injury, and after recovering, Al-Hilal did not include him in their player roster. In 18 months, Neymar played only 7 matches for this Saudi team, spending 428 minutes on the field, scoring one goal, and providing three assists. Al-Hilal paid 90 million euros to Paris Saint-Germain for Neymar's transfer and also paid the Brazilian player an annual salary of 100 million euros. Thus, the two-year contract with Neymar cost Al-Hilal around 200 million euros. An additional commercial package was also offered to Neymar, which could bring him around 163 million euros more. However, it is still unclear how much of this additional income he has received. The agreement to terminate Neymar's contract cost Al-Hilal about 62 million euros. Considering approximately 150 million euros for Neymar's 18-month salary, the transfer fee, and the severance package, Neymar has cost this Saudi club a total of 302 million euros. This amount does not include the additional 163 million euros that Neymar may have earned from the commercial package. Thus, he received at least 43 million euros per game, 705,000 euros per minute, and about 76 million euros for each assist and his only goal for Al-Hilal.
