One killed and two injured due to gunfire from IRGC forces in Saravan

A human rights source reported that following gunfire from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Saravan, located in the Sistan and Baluchestan province in southeastern Iran, one citizen was killed and two others were injured. According to the Halosh website on Sunday, December 23, following the shooting by the 'Sajad Corps' on Saturday evening in the Chai-Shahi village of Saravan towards three citizens, one of them was killed, and the other two citizens, while injured, were arrested and transferred to an 'unknown location.' The deceased was identified as 'Rahim Khaki-Zahi, son of Gol-Mohammad, 33 years old and a father,' while the injured citizens were identified as 'Ali Khaki-Zahi, son of Lal-Bakhsh, 27 years old, and Amin Khaki-Zahi, son of Rahim, approximately 26 years old.' The report stated that the IRGC agents intended to arrest these individuals and during an 'exchange of fire,' Rahim Khaki-Zahi was 'shot and killed.' According to the Halosh website, Rahim Khaki-Zahi 'had been in hiding for six years after a clash with military forces that resulted in the deaths of at least 10 family members and relatives, including two of his brothers.' The killing of citizens due to gunfire from military and law enforcement forces of the Islamic Republic has repeatedly led to the deaths of citizens in Iran.
