Liz Houston, deputy press secretary at the White House, stated that Trump is determined to protect Social Security for eligible citizens and accused Democrats of weakening these institutions by proposing these services to illegal immigrants. The U.S. Senate approved the general budget for Trump's government for the next year. Trump's administration relies on a loyal and conservative base among its voters who seek to reduce the role of the federal government, enforce stricter immigration policies, and reassess U.S. international commitments.
