Pas Team Rises to the Top of the Premier League Table

In the continuation of the Premier League competition from week twenty-five, 10 goals were scored. The Pas Tehran team, which faced Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan in Isfahan, managed to defeat the hosts 4-3. The match between Esteghlal Tehran and Esteghlal Ahvaz also ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of the Ahvazi team. According to the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA), while the first half of the match between Esteghlal Tehran and Esteghlal Ahvaz ended 2-0 in favor of the hosts, Esteghlal Tehran managed to score one goal with a beautiful free-kick by Setareh Hamdani in the 90th minute. While the match at Takhti Stadium in Ahvaz saw Esteghlal Tehran, a title contender, suffer a defeat, the game between Pas and Sepahan was filled with many events, with Pas scoring their third and fourth goals in the 55th and 64th minutes by Bayati Nia and Arash Borhani, respectively, while Mohammad Nasrati was sent off in the 59th minute, leaving Pas to continue the game with 10 players. The championship hopes for Esteghlal Tehran faced uncertainty after their defeat against their namesake team. In the second half, Esteghlal made changes in their attack by bringing in Peyman Sajadi instead of Mansourian and Fabrizio instead of Faraz Fatehmi, but these changes did not yield significant results. In contrast, the Esteghlal Ahvaz team managed the game more effectively without their head coach Nasser Hejazi. The Ahvazi team scored both of their goals through Khalifeh Asl. Thus, the Pas team topped the table with 50 points, while Esteghlal remained in second place with 48 points.
