Peruvian Officials Arrest an Iranian on Charges of Planning a Terrorist Attack at APEC Meeting

Peruvian police on Friday arrested an Iranian named Majid Azizi, 56, and a Peruvian citizen on charges of planning and organizing a terrorist cell to attack an Israeli individual at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting. Oscar Ariola, the head of the Peruvian police, stated at a press conference that these arrests were made following investigations and in coordination with international intelligence agencies.
