President George W. President Bush stated: "This country faces many challenges, and we will neither deny the difficulties and problems... nor will we ignore the challenges... nor will we pass our problems to other assemblies, to future presidents, or to future generations, but we will face our challenges with care, clarity, and courage." The speech was interrupted several times due to the emotional reactions of the attendees.
