Pressure on Plaintiffs; Mehrdad Bakhtiari: The Revolutionary Court has put my sister's house up for auction

Pouya Bakhtiari's uncle announced that his sister's house, which was pledged as collateral to the Revolutionary Court in Karaj, has been put up for auction. Mehrdad Bakhtiari, uncle of Pouya Bakhtiari, one of the victims of the November 2019 protests, stated in a video message recorded in front of the Revolutionary Court of Karaj on Tuesday, December 7, and published on social media platform X: "This is the Revolutionary Court in Karaj, but what can I say about the court, it is a court without justice because we have not seen any justice delivered. The only thing that the Bakhtiari family has endured in these four years has been oppression and suffering." He further added: "We have received a notification that my sister's house, which was pledged as collateral, has gone up for auction to be seized in favor of the regime [Islamic Republic]; well done to you! You are going to make my sister, along with her young child and husband, homeless in the first winter, let’s see how you feel about that?!" The pressure on the relatives of Pouya Bakhtiari is increasing while his father, Manouchehr Bakhtiari, and mother, Nahid Shirpiseh, are in prison due to their pursuit of justice. In this message, Mehrdad Bakhtiari referred to the war between Israel and the Hamas militant group, which is supported by the Islamic Republic, saying: "You who have been talking about human rights in Gaza for two months, you are the biggest violators of human rights yourselves. You have oppressed us. You have wronged us." According to him, the first branch of the Revolutionary Court in Karaj, presided over by Moussa Asfahani, has put his sister's house up for "auction and sale" without issuing a ruling against Mehrdad Bakhtiari. The uncle of justice-seeking Pouya Bakhtiari concluded his message with an emphasis on "our lives are sacrificed for Iran" and "long live Iran," addressing the officials of the Islamic Republic: "But know this, we are proud and have our heads held high before the nation. But you are the ones who will be stained in the history!"
