Prince, Famous American Singer, Passes Away

The police in Chanhassen, Minnesota announced on Thursday, April 21, the death of Prince, the famous American singer, stating that they are investigating the cause or causes of the death of the 57-year-old artist. According to the Daily Mail, Prince (Prince Rogers Nelson) was found dead at his home on Thursday morning. On the other hand, CNN reported that Prince Rogers Johnson had not been well in recent months. He had canceled a music concert but performed the same concert in Atlanta a few days later, although his plane had to make an emergency landing on the way back. The TMZ website also reported that Prince had been hospitalized six days prior due to a cold. Throughout his artistic career, this American singer was nominated for the famous Grammy Award over 30 times, winning it seven times. Five of his songs were among the best-selling music works at the time of their release, and 14 of his songs ranked in the top ten. Prince also won an Oscar for the song from the film 'Purple Rain.' He had presented a unique blend of rock, R&B, hip-hop, and soul music (rooted in African American culture) throughout his forty years of artistic life. According to the Daily Mail, over one hundred million copies of Prince's works have been sold worldwide. He was born in 1958 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and began composing music at the age of seven.
