Prince Reza Pahlavi: Khamenei and the Perpetrators of the 'Terrorist Crime' of Shooting Down the Ukrainian Airplane Will Be Held Accountable

Prince Reza Pahlavi referred to the downing of the Ukrainian passenger plane as a 'terrorist crime' and emphasized that the perpetrators and instigators, with 'Ali Khamenei as the primary suspect,' will not escape justice. On Monday, January 8, coinciding with the fourth anniversary of the downing of the Ukrainian passenger plane by Revolutionary Guard missiles over Tehran, he stressed that the victims' families are still seeking justice. In a message published across various social media platforms, he stated: 'Four years ago, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in a criminal act, killed 176 passengers of the Ukrainian plane. After four years, the families of the victims are still pursuing justice.' Prince Reza Pahlavi emphasized: 'The perpetrators and instigators of that terrorist crime, and the primary suspect, Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, should know that they cannot escape justice and sooner or later must be tried and held accountable before the great nation of Iran in a fair court.' His message was released simultaneously with a memorial ceremony for the fourth anniversary of the victims of the Ukrainian plane downing in Tehran. This ceremony took place on Monday in Shahidshahr, Tehran, the site of the plane's downing, while government forces prevented citizens from joining the families of the victims. An eyewitness, who spoke with the Persian section of Voice of America during the memorial, reported that special forces had been stationed in the area since the night before and emphasized that 'all the alleys are filled with agents in private cars' and that 'families are chanting slogans despite the complete siege.'
