Prince Reza Pahlavi: Religious Discrimination in Iran Will End After the Fall of the Regime

Prince Reza Pahlavi emphasized on Tuesday, December 24, that after the fall of the Islamic Republic, religious discrimination in a free and democratic Iran will come to an end. In a social media post, he stated: "Christians around the world will celebrate Christmas and the New Year in the coming two weeks, and Jews will also commemorate the Festival of Lights (Hanukkah). I sincerely congratulate all Christians and Jews in Iran, who are an inseparable part of our ancient and civilized nation." He added: "You, dear Christian and Jewish compatriots, have faced double oppression from this regime since the Islamic Republic took power in Iran; you have been deprived of your basic rights and have faced execution, assassination, imprisonment, torture, and systematic hatred and harassment. But I assure you that after the fall of the regime, in a free and democratic future for Iran, your fundamental rights will be restored; religious discrimination will end; and under the umbrella of secularism and the rule of law, the freedom of belief for all citizens will be guaranteed." He emphasized that "in that glorious future, Iranians of all religions and beliefs will play a vital role in rebuilding our homeland," adding: "We are the children of Cyrus, and his valuable legacy for us is the peaceful coexistence of religions and beliefs under a strong state that defends human rights." Prince Reza Pahlavi concluded by stating: "Let us believe that once again, the light of Iran will triumph over the darkness of evil, and the Iranian people will achieve the peace, freedom, and security they deserve."
