Prince Reza Pahlavi Warns of the Danger of Continuing the Islamic Republic; 'Iran is on the Path to Destruction' and 'The Plight of Iranians' is Worsening

Prince Reza Pahlavi wrote on social media on Tuesday, August 23: 'The end of the path that the Islamic Republic is taking is the destruction of Iran, greater misery for Iranians, and endangering the territorial integrity of the country.' Referring to recent news and developments in Iran, he added: 'While the Islamic Republic boasts against Israel and the U.S. and beats the war drum under the pretext of eliminating the leader of a terrorist organization, it is unable to provide water, electricity, fuel, and bread for the people of Iran.' He also expressed concern over the livelihood problems of various segments of the Iranian population, stating: 'For days and weeks, workers and retirees from various sectors, nurses and medical staff, farmers, contractors, and truck drivers across Iran have been protesting and striking, but the incompetent, kleptocratic regime is unable to meet their legitimate demands.' He emphasized that 'Iran, a country with vast resources of wealth and skilled human resources, should never have problems meeting the basic and daily needs of its people, and its workers, employees, and retirees should not have to seek their rights in the streets.' He noted: 'These are the least duties of a national and efficient government in Iran. However, the Islamic Republic is neither national nor efficient. Iran is a prize for this regime that it has seized to expand its destructive Islamic caliphate throughout the region and the world.' In conclusion, he sent a message to military, law enforcement, and security forces, as well as employees and managers of the administrative apparatus, and to 'that part of society that still stands by this regime due to religious beliefs': 'Instead of standing against the Iranian people, stand against the regime. Before the Islamic Republic plunges our homeland into the abyss of oblivion, stand with the Iranian people, throw the Islamic Republic into the dustbin of history, and strive for the re-establishment of a national government in Iran, which is better for you, your family, the great Iranian nation, and the glorious country of Iran.'
