Prince Reza Pahlavi: We Will Not Allow a Power Vacuum After the Fall of the Regime

Prince Reza Pahlavi stated that the people of Iran do not want their wealth to be spent by the Islamic Republic on warmongering and increasing instability in the region. He addressed Iran's neighbors, urging them not to fear regime change in Iran, as he asserted, "We will not allow a power vacuum to arise after the fall of this regime." On Tuesday, October 8, coinciding with the anniversary of Hamas's terrorist attack on Israel, he referred to the Middle East as the "cradle of civilization, rich in stories of kings, prophets, and great philosophers," and noted that from Cyrus to Moses and Ibn Khaldun, our countries have been the birthplace of some of the greatest visionary figures in the world. Leaders like Anwar Sadat, King Hussein, Menachem Begin, King Faisal, and my father also wore the mantle of peace for our nations. He added, "But for 45 years, many of us have been forced to live in fear: fear of the next terrorist attack, fear of war, fear of economic instability, fear of nuclear blackmail. Because 45 years ago, my country was taken hostage by an extremist regime that seeks not only to keep my people in chains but also to export its revolution to your countries and your people." According to Prince Reza Pahlavi, "The regime in Tehran is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people: Iranian, Arab, and Israeli; Christian, Muslim, and Jewish." He also emphasized, "This regime facilitated the October 7 attack. It fueled sectarian conflicts in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen. It seeks to overthrow the Hashemite monarchy and delegitimize the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. This regime uses Palestinians as human shields. And now this regime has brought our cradle of civilization to the brink of regional war." Prince Reza Pahlavi added, "I have a message for you today. This war is not the people of Iran's war! This war is Ali Khamenei's and his regime's. The tyrant in Tehran tries to give a nationalistic color to his warmongering, but he does not represent our nation. The crimes his regime has committed against you, our neighbors, are an affront to Iranians and our values. For us Iranians, national pride and love for our country do not come at the expense of hatred, hostility, and otherness." He continued, "My compatriots have repeatedly shown that they do not want Iran's wealth to be spent on warmongering, increasing instability, or financing terrorism. The people of Iran are not your enemy. It is the Islamic Republic that is our common enemy. The enemy of all peace-loving people in our region, regardless of their country or religion." Prince Reza Pahlavi also stated, "So I say to our friends across the Middle East, our region deserves a situation much better than the current one. But for us to succeed, first, this regime that has held us hostage for nearly half a century must go. The Middle East is very familiar with chaos and unrest, so I know you may fear that regime change in Iran will bring chaos. But do not be afraid. We will not allow a power vacuum to arise after the fall of this regime. A broad coalition of patriotic Iranians inside and outside is ready to act to serve our country and establish peace with the countries of the region." Prince Reza Pahlavi also asserted, "I have told my compatriots that I will fulfill my duty. I will step forward at their request to oversee this peaceful transition to democracy and the return of Iran to the community of nations. Peace is neither an old legacy of history nor a distant dream. Peace is a promise we owe to ourselves and our children. And together we can make it a reality." The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on Tuesday claimed responsibility for launching hundreds of missiles towards Israel, announcing that this was the "first wave of ballistic and hypersonic missile attacks by the IRGC." Prince Reza Pahlavi, last Tuesday, following the Islamic Republic's missile attacks on Israel, stated, "Tonight's missile attack by the Islamic Republic regime on Israel was a clear declaration of war against that country and, in fact, a declaration of war against the Iranian nation." He addressed the "great Iranian nation," stating that "the full responsibility for this madness lies with the Islamic Republic regime and Khamenei himself, and they must be held accountable for its consequences." He added, "Khamenei and his regime have brought our dear Iran to the brink of direct war with four decades of support for terrorist groups and fueling proxy wars in the region."
