Prince Reza Pahlavi Welcomes Netanyahu's Message to the People of Iran: A Step in the Right Direction

Prince Reza Pahlavi welcomed the statements of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed to the people of Iran on Thursday, December 13, inviting other leaders of the free world to engage in direct dialogue with the Iranian people instead of 'fruitless negotiations with the repressive regime.' He wrote in a post on social media platform X: 'The direct and ongoing dialogue of Prime Minister Netanyahu with the Iranian people is a step in the right direction.' In his message, Prince Reza Pahlavi also stated: 'Peace and regional stability after the fall of the Islamic Republic is both possible and desirable and is the wish of the Iranian people. However, achieving this goal requires maximum pressure on the regime and maximum support for the struggle of the Iranian people.' Earlier that day, Benjamin Netanyahu had released a video message to the people of Iran, saying: 'Just as we seek peace with you, you also seek peace with us.' Netanyahu referred to the extensive support of the Islamic Republic for Bashar al-Assad's regime and its proxies in the region, stating: 'The money that the oppressors stole from you literally went up in smoke.' The Israeli Prime Minister mentioned that your tyrants spent over $30 billion to support Assad in Syria, and after only 11 days of war, his regime turned to ashes. He also addressed the billions that the Islamic Republic spent to support Hamas in Gaza and over $20 billion for Hezbollah in Lebanon, saying: 'Today their regime has collapsed, and most of Hezbollah's leaders, their missiles, and thousands of their terrorists have vanished into thin air.' Netanyahu told the Iranian people that imagining the roads, schools, and hospitals that could have been built with the tens of billions wasted by the Islamic Republic on terrorists must anger them. He stated that the reason for the repeated failures of the Islamic Republic is not only their incompetence and cruelty but also because they seek to conquer other countries and impose fundamentalist tyranny on the Middle East and the entire world. Netanyahu emphasized that all Israel wants is to defend itself. Referring to the statements of Donald Trump, the elected President of the United States, he said that historical events and chain reactions from crushing Hamas to the destruction of Hezbollah, targeting Nasrallah, and strikes against the 'axis of terrorism' of the Iranian regime occurred 'thanks to Israel and its successes in war.' Netanyahu reiterated that Israel desires peace with all who seek peace with it, saying: 'I have no doubt that you, the people of Iran, know this, and just as we seek peace with you, you also seek peace with us.' The Israeli Prime Minister stated that the only thing the Islamic Republic truly fears is the Iranian people. He concluded his message by repeating the slogan 'Women, Life, Freedom' in Persian, stating that this is the future of Iran and that we will reach this future sooner than you think. Netanyahu had also previously urged the Iranian people not to lose hope in a direct message on November 13, emphasizing that 'the Khamenei regime fears only one thing more than Israel, and that is the Iranian people.' In that message, he announced that the Islamic Republic spent $2.3 billion of the Iranian people's national assets for the recent missile attack on Israel, urging the Iranian people not to let the government destroy their dreams. Netanyahu had also stated on October 1 in a 'direct and unmediated' message to the 'people of Iran' that Israel stands by them and that when Iran is 'freed much sooner than everyone thinks,' everything will be 'different.' In that message, he addressed the 'Iranian nation' on social media platform X, saying he wanted to speak 'directly, without filters, and without intermediaries' to the Iranians. He emphasized that the Islamic Republic 'subjugates you every day' and makes fiery rhetoric about defending Lebanon and Gaza, stressing that 'the regime plunges our region further into darkness and war every day.' Netanyahu referred to the deaths of Mohammed Deif and Hassan Nasrallah, calling them 'puppets' of the Islamic Republic and warned that there is no place where Israel will not go 'to protect our people and our country.' He concluded his remarks by expressing hope that together we will witness a future filled with prosperity and peace.
