Prince Reza Pahlavi's Reaction to Attack by Islamic Republic Supporters on Protesters in London: Patriots Will Not Be Intimidated

Prince Reza Pahlavi reacted to the attack by supporters of the Islamic Republic on a group of Iranian protesters in London by posting on social media platform X, stating that patriots in Iran and around the world will never be intimidated in their struggle for freedom and human rights. He reminded that Iranian protesters inside the country have long risked their lives for freedom. He further noted that Iranian protesters in Western countries now face similar and ongoing threats from 'thugs of the regime' who, according to him, enjoy a 'safe haven in free countries.' He emphasized that the recent violent attacks against peaceful Iranian protesters in Britain should lead to the arrest and legal prosecution of the regime's criminal supporters. He concluded by stating that it is time to send a message to the Islamic Republic that intimidation, violence, and threats from its extremist Islamic affiliates will not be tolerated. The attack on the supporters of the Islamic Republic coincided with a memorial ceremony for Ebrahim Raisi in Wembley, London, which sparked strong protests from several Iranian civil and political activists. According to the Metropolitan Police, four individuals were lightly injured in the altercation, and one person was arrested on suspicion of causing a disturbance and violence. Reports indicate that the clash occurred outside the venue of the ceremony, prompting police and ambulance forces to be dispatched to the scene. In this context, journalist and political activist Masih Alinejad wrote on social media X that 'Islamic Republic supporters violently attacked opponents, injuring several, including a female protester.' Alinejad noted that this incident has deeply affected the Iranian community and has sparked anger over the British government's negligence regarding the actions of the Islamic Republic, calling for immediate and decisive action from the British government and police to address this attack. She also pointed out that Britain was known worldwide for its law and order, yet now thugs of the Islamic Republic are attacking innocent citizens while British officials do nothing. She stressed that it is time for the British government to take action against them. Nazanin Boniadi, a human rights activist and artist, also mentioned on social media X the 'criminal behavior of Islamic Republic supporters towards their opponents in Britain,' stating that one can only imagine how they behave in Iran where everything is controlled. Ladan Bazargan, from the families seeking justice from the 1980s and a member of the Revolutionary Justice Seekers Council, wrote on X that 'the regime's thugs attacking Iranians who were shouting the names of political prisoners behind the walls of the regime's embassy shows the importance of our efforts abroad.' She added that 'the regime and its various affiliates are not accustomed to civil resistance and freedom of expression and think they can silence every voice.' Meanwhile, the London police announced that investigations into the matter are ongoing and urged witnesses to provide their information to the police. Previously, videos circulated on social media showing the organizers of the memorial ceremony for the former Islamic Republic president attacking individuals who had gathered to hold a protest outside the venue.
