As 'Foad Hussein', the Iraqi Foreign Minister, arrived in Tehran today for meetings with officials of the Islamic Republic, the news agency 'Tasnim', affiliated with Iran's security institutions, reported images of the 'deployment of armored equipment of the IRGC' to the northwestern borders. The news agency explained that these movements are occurring 'as the deadline' set by the Islamic Republic for Iraq to 'disarm' Kurdish 'separatist' groups in the Kurdistan region approaches its end. Following repeated warnings from the Iranian government about the non-extension of the 'September 19 deadline for disarming Kurdish parties' in the Kurdistan region, Foad Hussein announced yesterday that he was going to Tehran 'to prevent further conflict.' In a press conference, the Iraqi Foreign Minister stated that the country is in the process of relocating the camps and bases of Iranian Kurdish opposition groups to 'areas deeper and away from the border of the region with Iran.' Recently, Abbas Nilfroushan, the Deputy Chief of Operations of the IRGC, mentioned in an interview with an Iranian media outlet that 'we expect brotherhood from our brothers in the Kurdistan region,' and said, 'After continuous negotiations, we ultimately signed an agreement with the central government of Iraq and the region, which has a deadline of September 19 for its implementation.' In recent days, we have also witnessed comments from various officials in Iran and Iraq regarding this matter. In recent years, especially in the past year, the IRGC has repeatedly carried out missile and military attacks on various areas of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, which have faced protests from Baghdad officials, but under the pretext of dealing with opponents, this trend has continued. The Kurdistan Democratic Party has requested support from the international community against the threats of the Islamic Republic.
