Reaction of Several Republican Senators to the Killing of Hassan Nasrallah: His Hands Were Stained with American Blood

A number of Republican senators in the United States reacted to the killing of Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, by expressing gratitude for Israel's action to eliminate the leader of this Iranian proxy group in the Middle East. We should all be grateful to Israel for erasing this monster from the face of the earth.' John Barrasso, a Republican senator from Wyoming, stated: 'The hands of Hezbollah and its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, are stained with the blood of innocent Americans and Israelis. Thanks to Israel's decisive actions, the world is safer today.' Additionally, Republican Senator from North Carolina, Ted Budd, wrote: 'Israel has taken a decisive action against Hezbollah, the terrorist group whose hands are stained with American blood, over the past week. Ultimately, Israel's attacks will make the world a safer place for everyone.' After the Israeli army announced the killing of Hassan Nasrallah in airstrikes on Friday, October 6, in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Hezbollah confirmed the death of its Secretary-General in these attacks. Hassan Nasrallah was the third Secretary-General of Hezbollah after Subhi al-Tufayli and Abbas Musawi and was the most loyal commander of the Islamic Republic's proxy forces to Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic. Hashem Safi al-Din, a potential successor to Nasrallah, is on the U.S. 'terrorist list'.
