Resignation of Head of Educational Assessment Organization in Protest Against Administrative Justice Ruling

Following the ruling of the Administrative Justice Court regarding the reinstatement of 'candidates suspected of cheating', the head of the Educational Assessment Organization resigned. Iranian media reported today, Tuesday, December 18, that the Administrative Justice Court has ordered the reinstatement of candidates 'suspected of cheating', prompting Abdolrasool Pourabbas to resign and declare that he is not willing to accept responsibility in this matter. In his resignation letter addressed to the Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, Pourabbas stated: 'The Administrative Justice Court's belief in the return of all those suspected of cheating who have previously been definitively condemned is clear.' The resigned head of the Educational Assessment Organization emphasized that complying with the court's rulings is necessary and, on the other hand, the organization practically lacks the capacity to implement such a large-scale reinstatement of cheaters. Pourabbas stressed that 'therefore, as of 11 AM on December 18, 1402, I am relinquishing all responsibilities of the organization and will not take any responsibility in this regard.'
