The website 'Basirat,' the publication of the Political Bureau of the IRGC, called on economic officials of the government to simultaneously enhance 'supervision and management of the market' as the 'zero hour' approaches for the start of a kind of military retaliatory action. This note urged the Central Bank to prevent the rising exchange rate, which has been experiencing an unprecedented upward trend following the news of Ismail Haniyeh's death, stating: 'The role of the Central Bank as the central command of the economic war is extremely important in controlling the exchange rate as a cornerstone of the country's inflationary expectations.' In another section of this note, the IRGC, which spends billions of dollars arming proxy militant groups and inciting conflict in the region, called on the public to 'fulfill their duty and obligation' and to refrain from 'rushing to markets and resources' for 'consumption control.' The Political Bureau of the IRGC, seemingly concerned about the Islamic Republic's inability to control the country's economic situation in the event of escalating regional tensions, claimed that 'the Iranian economy has reached a relative coexistence with security and political shocks' and that 'the Central Bank's currency governance and sufficient resources absorb a significant part of the impacts of such shocks.' Meanwhile, the likelihood of new conflicts in the region has led to an increase in oil prices in global markets and has had a significant impact on the Tehran stock and currency markets. The Islamic Republic is accused of providing millions of dollars in financial and military aid to Hamas.
