Response to Drone Attack on a School in Eilat; Israel Bombed Targets in Syria

The Israeli army announced early on Friday, November 10, that it targeted the position of a militia group in Syria that had carried out a drone attack on a school in the Israeli port city of Eilat. Without naming the group, the Israeli army wrote on the messaging platform X: "The Syrian regime is fully responsible for any terrorist activity emanating from its territory" and emphasized: "We will respond to any aggression against Israel." Earlier, on October 25, the Israeli army had stated that its fighter jets targeted Syrian army infrastructure and mortars in response to rocket fire from Syria towards the Golan Heights. Additionally, Syrian state media reported that following the Israeli airstrike in the southern province of Daraa, eight Syrian soldiers were killed and seven others were wounded. Previously, the Lebanese group Hezbollah and the Houthis of Yemen, who are financially and militarily supported by the Islamic Republic, have also launched rockets towards Israel. The United States has issued warnings regarding this matter and, in response to attacks by Iran-backed militia groups on American forces stationed in Iraq and Syria, has targeted their positions. CENTCOM released images of the U.S. airstrikes on Iranian proxy forces in Syria. The Islamic Republic once again denied any involvement in the actions of its proxy groups. The Houthis of Yemen have stated that they have once again fired ballistic missiles at Israel.
