Return of the remains of 'Shiri Bibas' to Israel confirmed

The family of 'Bibas' announced that the remains delivered to Israel on Friday belonged to 'Shiri Bibas', an Israeli hostage. He was taken hostage during a terrorist attack by Palestinian forces in October 2023. In the early hours of Saturday, the Kibbutz community of 'Nir Oz' announced the death of Bibas. The Bibas family, who also shared this news on Instagram, said: 'We were in search of certainty for sixteen months, and now that we have it, there is no comfort in it, but we hope this is the beginning of an end.' Following this event, on Friday, the Hamas group, which is recognized as a terrorist organization by the U.S., the EU, Canada, and several other countries and is supported by the Iranian government, delivered new remains to Israel through the Red Cross, which this time were identified as the remains of Shiri Bibas. Hamas had previously claimed that Bibas and his two children, Kafir and Ariel, were killed early in the war due to Israeli airstrikes. However, this matter remains disputed.
