Reza Mohammadi announces hunger strike in prison: The Islamic Republic fears 'the multiplication of courage'

Mohammadi mentioned that he would join his fellow inmates in the 'Tuesdays No to Execution' campaign this week. He recounted the brutal treatment he received from the IRGC forces during his arrest, describing how they violently assaulted him and threatened him with a gun while his father was present. He expressed that his father was unaware of the extent of the regime's animosity towards him, which was greater than that towards armed individuals. Mohammadi criticized the regime for its medieval behavior during his arrest and noted that a year has passed since his father's death, which he attributes to the regime's actions. He plans to continue his hunger strike in solidarity with all parents who have lost their children to state violence. Mohammadi is currently serving a sentence of 14 years and six months and has previously revealed that the regime is applying economic pressure on political prisoners to force them into compliance.
