Saeed Khangarani, Actor of 'In the Shadow of the Night' and 'Daei Jan Napoleon', Passes Away

Saeed Khangarani, actor of the films 'In the Shadow of the Night' and 'Daei Jan Napoleon', passed away on Friday, September 23, due to a heart attack at the age of 64 in a hospital in Tehran. Mehdi Golestaneh, a film director, told ILNA that Khangarani suffered a cardiac arrest on Thursday afternoon and was transferred to the hospital, where he died the following afternoon. He continued, saying that Khangarani was completely healthy and had no illnesses, and his death was very sudden and upsetting. Khangarani was set to star in a series titled 'Dancing on Glass' directed by Mehdi Golestaneh. Khangarani began his career in Iranian cinema and theater before the 1979 revolution, but after the revolution, he found limited opportunities to work. He left Iran in 1988 and lived in the United States for 16 years. After returning to Iran, he acted in the film 'Marriage in Iranian Style' by Hassan Fathi. Recently, Khangarani performed in a theater called 'Nirang Orang' at the Sanglaj Theater. Khangarani had roles in films and series such as 'Reza Motorcylist', 'Rahman the Caretaker's Dream Letter', 'The Circle of Mina', 'Daei Jan Napoleon', 'Flight in the Cage', 'Season of Blood', and 'Whirlpool'.
