Samsung Unveils Its Foldable Phone

Samsung has unveiled several new products, including a foldable phone that transforms into a tablet. The foldable phone, named Galaxy Fold, is considered very expensive at a price of $1980. Engineers have been working for several years on foldable phones that can convert into tablets. The engineering complexities and unreliability of such products have previously deterred major companies from entering this market. However, Samsung's introduction of this high-priced device represents a gamble in the tech world, which could either lead to success or jeopardize the company's reputation. The Galaxy Fold will be one of the first phones in the world to support 5G technology, which is expected to revolutionize the world in the coming years with its high speed. The device comes with a standard storage capacity of 512GB, 12GB of RAM, and is powered by a 7nm Snapdragon 855 processor, which has not been used in mobile phones before. The phone features two AMOLED screens, with an external display of 4.6 inches and a larger internal display of 7.3 inches. It has three rear cameras that can be used in both open and folded positions, including a 12MP telephoto sensor, a 12MP wide sensor, and a 16MP super wide sensor. In tablet mode, the selfie cameras consist of a 10MP sensor and an 8MP depth sensor, while in phone mode, it has a 10MP sensor. Samsung claims to have developed a stable folding mechanism using a complex system of lockable hinges, ensuring the device's functionality and durability. The new Galaxy S10 series features Dynamic AMOLED displays with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The S10 Plus has a battery capacity of 4100mAh, while the S10 has 3400mAh. Both models support fast charging and wireless charging. The base price for the S10 is €930, and for the S10 Plus, it is €1050. These phones utilize Wi-Fi 6 technology, with a data transfer speed of 1.2Gbps, and both devices are water-resistant and feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. For those seeking a more affordable option, the S10e model is available, featuring a 5.8-inch display. This introduction is similar to Apple's launch of the budget-friendly iPhone XR. The S10e has relatively good hardware, with 6GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 855 processor, and 128GB of internal storage. It has two rear cameras, one super wide 16MP and one main 12MP camera, along with a 10MP selfie camera. This phone is expected to enter the European market with a base price of €780. Additionally, Samsung introduced the 5G S10 phone with a 6.7-inch display, which can be considered revolutionary in mobile phones. This device is the largest in the S series so far and features four rear cameras. It uses 256GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM. After the battery explosions in the Galaxy S7, Samsung has taken another risk by including its largest battery yet, with a capacity of 4500mAh in this model. The front and rear cameras of this phone utilize 3DTOF technology, which is used for 3D environmental scanning.
