She added, 'I always think this is a strange circle.' Yahav and Shaily, who studied together at film school, were a well-known artistic couple in the kibbutz Kfar Aza, a small Israeli community built along the Gaza border. Yahav, the director, and Shaily, the editor, created their works with limited budgets, using local residents as actors and crew. Shaily, deeply affected by the loss of her husband, describes him as her 'best friend and collaborator.'
